Mark Blaze
He didn’t know why, but he felt at easy, safe even, when the young woman was close to him. He had never felt like this with anyone since he left his parents at the age of sixteen and thought he would never feel like that ever again. Once again though, he was proven wrong yet again. Usually, he didn’t like to be wrong, but this time he didn’t mind, in fact, he enjoyed it. All those years after he left his parents, he always felt like there was always someone just around the corner waiting to jump him and in most cases, that was true. Living on the road and moving all the time, he had to be always on his guard, even now that he lived in Paris and worked at the Opera House, he still was on guard twenty four-seven. But right now, after all these years of being tense and alert, he could finally relax and not worry about someone trying to attack him. What choice did he have? After asking his question with a voice filled with worry, she swallowed hard before answering, as if she deciding the right choice of words.
"Let's just say that my neck seems to be a place that Dementis likes to strike. As I got him with the needle after he..." she paused for a moment before continuing, "He used one of the medical tools to cut open my neck." she explained quietly. Without giving any hints, he cursed himself silently for being so weak and not being able to regain control of the demon inside himself. If he had better control of Dementis, Cara’s neck wouldn’t taken any damage at all. Over the years, he tried many times to control, though he did not know what it was, but it always seemed impossible to do such a challenging task. It always seemed to be one step ahead of him. Just like Mark, Dementis was also very intelligent, but its intelligence was beyond Mark’s. It was able to form elaborate plans that were fool-proof in a matter of moments with ease. Though this time, its plan had failed, which surprised the larger man slightly because that was the very first time one of its plans had ever failed. Looking into his hazed eyes, she began to speak once more.
"Mark I know it wasn't you and I know it isn't you and that you never would if you where yourself but with m track record... Why do you think Dementis kissed me, and why does he seem to think I'm his? It seemed so out of sorts for both of you." she questioned. The dark haired man looked away for a moment with a turn of his head, trying to wrap his mind around what she had said. It had called her his dear? He thought he would never hear those two simple words come out of its mouth let alone his own. But what did it mean? Was it attracted to her in some way? He certainly hoped not. He cared for Cara, yes, and would do anything to protect even if it meant sacrificing his own life to save hers, but he only cared for her as family. He couldn’t possible love anyone like he did his first and only girlfriend, he just couldn’t go through the pain again and live. Looking back at the young female with a hazy and tired gaze.
“I am sorry for what it did, if only had I been stronger, been able to keep it from controlling me, you wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Yes, you’re right, I would never done that to you, force a kiss on you. Before you think of something, yes, I care for you, but only as family. I also have had a bad experience with love, I only needed to experience it once and I made sure no one would get that that close to me ever again. I might have given up on it, but that doesn’t mean the same for my other half.” though his eyes were still hazy from the tranquilizer, they had a solemn edge to them, “Dementis has never said those words to anyone since I have heard its voice.” he said in a weak, but serious tone.

Cara Andovea
Now that everything had calmed down it felt strange and Cara couldn't help but wonder if it was the calm before the storm. Though Dementis hadn't killed or broken her like it had planed he had struck one cord inside her and that was second guessing every move Mark's head made away from her.
It had been in his eyes that she had seen the demon take control, in his eyes that she saw Mark trying to fight back. Eyes really where the looking glass into the soul and now as the gazed at each other she only saw Mark and she felt herself relax, so it seemed they had one plan to use against the demon inside.
Before she even answered his question about her neck she could tell just by the way he had asked the question that he blamed himself for it and now that he had asked her an uneasy question she asked him about the kiss.
It wasn't just because it was a forced kiss that she wanted to know why, or the fact Dementis had been the only man to ever kiss her without her giving something frist it was also to learn how Dementis truly saw her.
Mark's head turned away from her and slight panic started to rise within her she would have to tell him to always, always look at her when they where together at lest until they found a way to control his darker half.
After awhile his head turned back and she relaxed even more when she saw Mark's eyes upon her.
I might have given up on it, but that doesn’t mean the same for my other half.”
Ever since they had meet this information got to her the most. He had given up on love? She almost didn't hear what he said next.
“Dementis has never said those words to anyone since I have heard its voice.”
"I wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing. If it has feelings for me in same way maybe I could use that or maybe because of it I'm an even bigger risk to him. He told me that all your friends would pay that Easy would be next, have you told him about Dementis? I know you said that this is the first time it ever said it's name but that he's been inside you ever since the priest tried to.." She stopped there after all there was no need to say it instead she went on to say. "Mark forgive me but, you can't give up on love or your friends maybe it's what this thing wants you all to itself. What are you feeling before it comes, where do you go when it's here?"
She stopped again running her fingers along her neck her eyes turning from Mark and back to the tray of tools on the table.
"It said the priest used whats seen as a magical tool that brought him to be inside you, do you think, that is if we did another that it might help get him out?"

When he turned his head to think over what Cara had said, he could the panic that had started to consume her. He wondered slightly why she would feel that way by such a simple act. Maybe it was because that people could tell by his eyes when the demon took over, that his eyes were the only physical change when it was in control. He turned his gaze back to her and began to speak, she began to calm once more upon seeing his eyes, knowing that Mark was still in control. Actually, Dementis was being so quite that it began to make him suspicious and worried. It wasn’t that he cared for the demon, it was just that it had been silent for too long. Should it have awoken when he did? It was most likely waiting to put its new plan into action, regaining its strength as it did so. The demon was very patient if it meant victory, waiting for massive amounts of time for the right moment. After a moment once he was done, he waited quietly for the young woman to speak, but also listened carefully, seeing if he could hear any signs of the demon. He failed to hear anything when she began to speak.
"I wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing. If it has feelings for me in same way maybe I could use that or maybe because of it I'm an even bigger risk to him. He told me that all your friends would pay that Easy would be next, have you told him about Dementis? I know you said that this is the first time it ever said it's name but that he's been inside you ever since the priest tried to.." she paused, as if knowing that Mark didn’t need nor wanted to reminded of that event, "Mark forgive me but, you can't give up on love or your friends maybe it's what this thing wants you all to itself. What are you feeling before it comes, where do you go when it's here?" she stopped once more, her slender fingers gently brushing against her neck were the wound was and her gaze moving to the metal surgical table with a collection of medical equipment, "It said the priest used what’s seen as a magical tool that brought him to be inside you, do you think, that is if we did another that it might help get him out?" she questioned, looking back at him. He closed his eyes in pain, remembering the physical torture he had went through that night. No words known to man could describe the pain he had felt, it was ten times worse than when the nerves act up could ever be. He wouldn’t be able to live through that kind of pain. The larger man knew that getting the demon out was going to be much, much harder than putting it in, thus making it more painful. If Dementis did have feelings for her, they could use that against it just like Cara had said. But how was that even possible? He thought demons were unable to feel and express those kinds of emotions. Yet, why was it showing a sort of twisted affection towards the young female? As for Cat knowing about the voice, yes he did, but he did not know much, only knowing what little bits he had told him. He didn’t want Cara or Easy knowing about what happened that night when the priest came into his home, that’s why he told the young man what Stalin had told his parents, that he had a exorcism done on him, which was partly true. He felt like Easy was not ready for the truth, but maybe one day he would tell him what really happened. Opening his hazy grey green eyes, the seriousness was replaced with pain. He shook his head vigorously, showing how much he hated the idea.
“No, I won’t go through that again. I rather keep Dementis inside me than go through that torture again.” he sighed lowly, stilling his movements after becoming tired quickly just from doing the simple act, “Yes, I have told Easy of it, but not much, I felt that it was too much information for him to take in at once. I wish that it didn’t tell you anything about that, but of course it would anything to make you stay away from me and make me angry. So, you maybe right about it wanting me all to itself, though I don’t know why it would.” he paused, once again sighing quietly, “As for what I feel like before it takes over, it doesn’t really matter how I feel, it only needs to have enough strength to take over. That is why Dementis is so dangerous, it can take control when you least expect it and it uses that to its advantage. When it takes control, I go where it usually stays, in the subconscious part of my mind. Though it sometimes stays in the darker regions of my mind, feeding over the dark emotions and memories that lay there.” he shook his head slightly in a sad way, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them once again, “Right now its being a little too quiet for my liking. It as though its once again silently planning something, gaining the strength it needs to take over as it plans. If it gets enough strength to get control anytime soon, I won’t be able to fight it off in my weakened state. You and Cat are the only two friends I have ever had, that truly care for me, I would never be able forgive myself if that thing did something to you.” he said quietly.

Cara Andovea
There were so many things running through her head, idea's plans, anything that she could use against the demon even Mark's past if she had to. Now looking at him lying on the ground she found herself wondering more about the demon, how he took control, what happened to Mark if he was still there and listening to every word that was spoken. It didn't seem like he remembered her neck proof that he didn't.
She saw the fact that Mark knew she was more relaxed when he was looking at her and not away if there was no thing that they both knew for sure about Dementis controlling ways was that you saw it in his eyes, the only true warning.
It was only when he looked back at her that she voiced some of her thoughts not wanting to give to much away just in case his darker side heard.
As she mentioned the priest she saw him close his eyes knowing that painful memories flashed through his head, she had to voice the idea it seemed like the only way that might be able to kill Dementis for good.
It was a long moment before Mark's eyes opened again and looked at her showing the pain that must have come from the memories of the past the shacking of his head was unneeded.
“No, I won’t go through that again. I rather keep Dementis inside me than go through that torture again.”
Cara only nodded her understanding still the idea wouldn't leave her mind there were things about what the priest had done that just didn't add up and though she wouldn't tell Mark until she was certain she knew that more study was in store.
Her mind then turned back to Easy and if he knew anything about the demon and just how much about he knew somehow she didn't think it would be anymore then she did, maybe even a little less.
“Yes, I have told Easy of it, but not much, I felt that it was too much information for him to take in at once. I wish that it didn’t tell you anything about that, but of course it would say anything to make you stay away from me and make me angry. So, you maybe right about it wanting me all to itself, though I don’t know why it would.”
Cara did, or at lest she had some idea all she had to do was look at Mark and answers started forming, still she kept these to herself seeing that he had more to say in answering her questions.
“As for what I feel like before it takes over, it doesn’t really matter how I feel, it only needs to have enough strength to take over. That is why Dementis is so dangerous, it can take control when you least expect it and it uses that to its advantage. When it takes control, I go where it usually stays, in the subconscious part of my mind. Though it sometimes stays in the darker regions of my mind, feeding over the dark emotions and memories that lay there.”
But it did matter and Cara was about to protest it seemed that Dementis came through pain, he was made of it and it was what demons were all about which arose new thoughts if this thing somehow did have same same feelings for her how could it be when every book she had read so far said that demons couldn't love?
Again she listened as Mark told her where he went when Dementis was in control enforcing her ideas about it being there only because of the pain that Mark bottled up inside, maybe there was another way to get him out of her friend but that seemed like the long shot.
After that he shock his head again closing his eyes once more as a sigh escaped his lips.
“Right now its being a little too quiet for my liking. It as though its once again silently planning something, gaining the strength it needs to take over as it plans. If it gets enough strength to get control anytime soon, I won’t be able to fight it off in my weakened state. You and Cat are the only two friends I have ever had, that truly care for me, I would never be able forgive myself if that thing did something to you.”
"Well hopefully it won't Easy's pretty smart and I'm sure with information he'll find his own ways to beat Dementis and as for me, I've already won once and I'm not going to let him get the upper hand. Mark I'm not going to ask you to go through it and say no if you wish but I'd like to find out more about your darker side, he spoke of the cravings the runes on your skin could you draw them for me?"
She knew that each rune meant something different and each one held so many meanings.
"I think this thing is still here because of all the pain your feeling and if we get that out it may help."

Mark Blaze
Much to his liking, Mark felt his strength slowly come back to him. He hoped in a short amount of time, he hoped to have the strength to at least sit up, at least he wouldn’t feel so weak and helpless. He had never felt so weak in his entire life, besides when he was a child. Though he was rather large for his age, he wasn’t that strong as a child, at least that’s how he felt like. He was always getting picked one by the local children, they usually called him names and threw things at him, and he always got ridiculed and was always mistreated by the adults. He knew it was the priest’s fault, it always was, but he did nothing to fight back and always treated his elders with respect, just as his parents told him to. But over the years of the same treatment, he had made himself strong, better even, then the rest. He had to wean himself from wanting to play with the others, reminding himself that they didn’t want him around, they didn’t want a monster to be near them. Though he had a fondness to them, Mark has witnessed first-hand how cruel children could be. Cara voice broke him from his dark and depressing thoughts, making him refocus on her.
"Well hopefully it won't Easy's pretty smart and I'm sure with information he'll find his own ways to beat Dementis and as for me, I've already won once and I'm not going to let him get the upper hand. Mark I'm not going to ask you to go through it and say no if you wish but I'd like to find out more about your darker side, he spoke of the cravings the runes on your skin could you draw them for me? I think this thing is still here because of all the pain your feeling and if we get that out it may help." she said softly, keeping her gently gaze on him. He hoped that she was right about not letting Dementis get the upper hand, it knew how to so easily it was like a second nature to it. The demon was still being too quiet for Mark’s taste. Usually, it would be taunting him some way, laughing darkly or using cruel words. Maybe it was silent because the sedative was still working on it. Maybe the sedative had more effect on it because it was in control at the time the tranquilizer was used. The larger man still thought that his darker side was stilling coming up with a sinister plan of some sort.
“Yes, you may have defeated this time, but that was because you had a sedative on hand. Next time, what if there are none around? What would you do then to defeat him? You could say this was only a minor victory.” he paused for a moment, thinking over what she had said once more, “I actually try my best to forget the runes, but how can I? They have been permanently etched into my chest and back, reminding me of what happened and what is inside me every time I look at myself. Though if you wish to learn more about it, then you may, but I myself do not know a lot about Dementis even though it had been in me since I was nine. To get answers for your question, you are mostly likely going to have to ask it itself.” he suddenly remembered what she had said before, “How are you so sure you are able to get rid of it? I have tried to get rid of it for years, yet have always failed in doing so. We have been together for years and to tell you the truth, I don’t hardly remember what my life was like before it was put into me. It’s words were true when it said it was keeping me sane, I would have been in the insane asylum many years ago if it hadn’t have been for it. Plus, it seems it is not like the demons you and I have read in books, it seems it is able to show affection. I don’t think you will able to get it out like a normal demon. Besides, I don’t think it’s possible to get it out, we’ve been together for many years.” he explained quietly.

Cara Andovea
As more minutes ticked slowly by Cara's mind turned to ahead to the next chapter, it was like a story with so many outcomes the ending couldn't be set in stone. Mystery, romance, crime it had it all though there was one ending she hoped for more then any other.
Her eyes ever since she had come over to him and knelt beside him where fixed on his she could tell that he was slowly getting stronger which he was happy about as would she be if she didn't know what else it could mean.
Once again it seemed that her soft voice pulled Mark from the past as she spoke maybe with Easy's help they could think of something together that would over come Dementis, there had to be a way, after all it was Easy who had made her second guess her way of thinking when she had ran away after her parents died.
“Yes, you may have defeated this time, but that was because you had a sedative on hand. Next time, what if there are none around? What would you do then to defeat him? You could say this was only a minor victory.”
Thanks for the vote of confidence Cara couldn't help but think to herself but he was right. She couldn't keep injecting him with needles besides if Dementis was as smart as he thought he was he'd be waiting for that. Still un be known to Mark the doctor ad vowed to give her the sedatives when ever she needed them.
She run her fingers along her neck and glanced at the tray then back at Mark he seemed to be waiting for an answer but to none could she give him one.
"I don't know. I tend to think on my feet just like I did this time and I have a few other ideas just, don't hate me when I put some of them into play."
She had been speaking of the runes and the athame when she spoke of this, they would be a last resort but if she had to she'd find same way to use them. After all demon's weren't natural and therefore it might be a good idea to have some supernatural ideas to.
“I actually try my best to forget the runes, but how can I? They have been permanently etched into my chest and back, reminding me of what happened and what is inside me every time I look at myself. Though if you wish to learn more about it, then you may, but I myself do not know a lot about Dementis even though it had been in me since I was nine. To get answers for your question, you are mostly likely going to have to ask it itself.”
"I understand, but I can learn about runes without his help and it might be better if I did. As for Dementis there are things I want to ask him, why he kissed me and why he calls me his for example and he also seems to be so sure of himself I'm going to ask him if he thinks there's a way to get rid of him...maybe even strike some sort of deal."
It seemed that those words plus ones from before seemed to finally click in Mark's mind and before long he was asking that question she knew would be coming.
“How are you so sure you are able to get rid of it? I have tried to get rid of it for years, yet have always failed in doing so. We have been together for years and to tell you the truth, I don’t hardly remember what my life was like before it was put into me. It’s words were true when it said it was keeping me sane, I would have been in the insane asylum many years ago if it hadn’t have been for it. Plus, it seems it is not like the demons you and I have read in books, it seems it is able to show affection. I don’t think you will able to get it out like a normal demon. Besides, I don’t think it’s possible to get it out, we’ve been together for many years.”
At this Cara's gaze turned to her broken locket her eyes closing for the longest time before she meet Mark's eyes once again a smile on her face.
"It's two little things called hope and faith. Maybe it's something you can't do alone and maybe the way isn't as black and white as we'd like it to be but Mark I do believe that your strong enough to live without him now, you have things now that you didn't have them like friends, and a home were people like you know who aren't around. I know this demon isn't like a any from a book but there is however a few things I'm grateful to it for if what you say is true, keeping you alive for one thing but Mark it wants to kill do you think you could live with that?"

Mark Blaze
As he talked about her minor victory over Dementis, he watched the look in her eyes change. He knew he sounded cruel and harsh right then and there, but she had to understand that next time she might not have a needle on hand and she had to think of a other way to defeat the demon. It always learned from past mistakes and always made sure it did not make the same ones again. If Mark remembered right, this was the first time it had ever failed, but then again, it was the first time someone had ever stopped him by using a sedative on him. When he was done speaking, he watched silently as once again her fingers gently brushed against the wound on her neck, her eyes traveling toward the surgical table again. After a moment of looking at it, she moved her gaze back to him.
"I don't know. I tend to think on my feet just like I did this time and I have a few other ideas just, don't hate me when I put some of them into play." she explained quietly. He slightly wondered what she meant exactly by her words, but decided not to voice his questions. He did have an idea of what she meant and to tell you the truth, he didn’t like the idea. Instead, he continued speak, this time talking about the runes and how he tried to forget them. Just as he told the young woman, every time he looked into a mirror, the symbols were always glaring back at him, as if they were blaming him for his misfortune. The scars were very visible and not hard to see unlike usual old scars, which were usually faded with age. Most of his scars however old always look as though the had just completed the healing process and did not seem to want to fade. As he continued to speak, he switched the subject to her getting answers from Dementis. It seemed it was always ready to talk, usually telling things that hurt others or himself or saying things that would make others go away, leaving Mark alone to be with the demon once more. It was the exact opposite of Mark, in both in the way it acts and how it talks. It is willing to do anything to meet its goals and it will do whatever it wants, whenever it wants without hesitation. Unlike himself, who usually stays quiet, the demon will saying anything willingly if it is thinks it has something to gain. The larger man stopped once more to listen to whatever the young female had to say.
"I understand, but I can learn about runes without his help and it might be better if I did. As for Dementis there are things I want to ask him, why he kissed me and why he calls me his for example and he also seems to be so sure of himself I'm going to ask him if he thinks there's a way to get rid of him...maybe even strike some sort of deal." she said, forming a plan within her head. Mark had never thought about that before, making a deal with the demon. She was right about it, it was self-confident and cocky to say the least, thinking it could do anything it wanted to do. Most of the time, it could back up its word, yet this time it failed to do so, which was very rare for it. He still wondered why Dementis kissed her and why it called her its also. He still couldn’t believe it kissed her in the first place. It had never done so in the past, it didn’t even give off any hints that it could even feel the emotion. This was confusing to say the least. He then asked how was she so sure she was able to get it out, telling her that he thought it was impossible to such a thing. Once he was done, she moved her gaze to her locket, which was broken from when the demon used the scalpel to cut her neck. He still blamed himself for what Dementis did to her, if only he had been stronger this wouldn’t be happening. After a few moments of looking at the locket, she finally looked up at him and met his gaze, a smile on her face.
"It's two little things called hope and faith. Maybe it's something you can't do alone and maybe the way isn't as black and white as we'd like it to be but Mark I do believe that your strong enough to live without him now, you have things now that you didn't have them like friends, and a home were people like you know who aren't around. I know this demon isn't like a any from a book but there is however a few things I'm grateful to it for if what you say is true, keeping you alive for one thing but Mark it wants to kill do you think you could live with that?" she questioned softly, her smile still on her face. He stayed quiet for a moment, thinking over her words with a empty gaze. No, he couldn’t live with himself if he found out he had killed someone. After all these years of having it inside him, it felt like it was more a part of him than something that was supernatural. He felt like in removing the demon, a part of him would be gone. To tell you the truth, he really didn’t like the idea of getting rid of it. When he had left his hometown, he was always alone, no one wanted to be near him. When he first heard the voice and it helped him get out of the tough situation, he didn’t feel all that alone anymore, knowing that now, he had at least someone to talk to. Even though it loved to make him miserable and he hated it, it always helped him whenever he needed it and talked and listened to him when he need it. The demon was actually like a companion he never had until he had met Easy and Cara. But how was he going to tell Cara that he actually didn’t want to get rid of Dementis? Feeling that he had the strength to do so, the larger man sat up, keeping his gaze on his female companion.
He shook his head once, “No, I couldn’t.” he answered quietly, “I never thought about making a deal with it. Maybe you could bargain with it so it could be a ally to us instead of a enemy.” he suddenly shook his head, “No, that’s a stupid idea, it’ll never work. This is a demon we’re talking about, it’s not just going to agree to something like that.” he sighed lowly, “I wonder why it did those things also and you could ask it next time. It is so sure of itself because it is its nature and plus, it has never failed before. I highly doubt that it thinks there is way a to get rid of it.” he said quietly. He wanted to tell her that he didn’t want to get do away with it, but could not bring himself to it. She seemed so determined to do so, he just didn’t know how to tell her. As for Dementis, it was still quiet, but Mark had a bad feeling that it was about to do something and Cara was about to be able to speak with it once more.

Cara Andovea
If truth be told she wasn't so scared of Dementis just what he could do. It spoke of killing and coursing pain, skinning her alive and going after each and every friend that Mark would ever have that in itself made Mark dangerous, Dementis could see anyone, anyone as a threat and someone it needed to kill.
They couldn't all be like her winning from pure luck and if it was a child she doubted they'd be able to win at all.
As they spoke of runes and scares she wondered just what kind of runes the priest had used and even then the fact that a priest even used runes was somewhat strange, it was another question she would have to add to her ever growing list.
Then when she came back to the fact that Dementis seemed to call her his own she saw the fact that Mark was thinking about it to and then speaking of a deal the idea seemed to hit a spot.
From his place on the floor she watched Mark as he sat up once again shacking his head for reasons unknown to her but her mind was now on high alert if Mark was waking so to could be Dementis.
“No, I couldn’t.”
Could what? she asked herself snapping out of her train on thoughts for a moment as she tried to focus her mind on what Mark was saying and not listen to the alarm bells going off in her head.
“I never thought about making a deal with it. Maybe you could bargain with it so it could be a ally to us instead of a enemy.”
Somehow she didn't think that would work and aside from that she already had her own set of deals to offer. She was about to voice the fact when Mark seemed to brush it aside himself.
“No, that’s a stupid idea, it’ll never work. This is a demon we’re talking about, it’s not just going to agree to something like that.”
He seemed to pause for a moment a sigh coming past his lips.
“I wonder why it did those things also and you could ask it next time. It is so sure of itself because it is its nature and plus, it has never failed before. I highly doubt that it thinks there is way a to get rid of it.”
"Well I'm going to ask it anyone" She said strongly "Mark I don't want to lose you. I've already lost one family and I don't want to lose another, the deal that I'm thinking of however... well lets just say I have two, three if I..." She stopped there "There's one that you won't like and will go back on every promise I made you but I can't let this thing kill."
She looked right into his eyes then thinking she saw a little bit of Dementis rising in the darkness.
"Is there anything you want me to ask it for you, is there some deal you'd like to offer? I can tell, he's starting to wake up to."

She seemed confused when he had answered her question, as if she didn’t know what he was talking about. Maybe he should have been a little more specific, he thought she would have know that he was answering her question. He was thankful that he was able to sit up now, it meant that the sedative was finally wearing off and that he was getting stronger. He thought he would have felt his demon half awaken or at least get stronger now, but he didn’t. Instead, it felt constant, as if its strength had stayed the same and it had never gone to sleep. This little piece of information made Mark suspicious and worried. Didn’t the tranquilizer work on the demon or did it just work on him, forcing it to give up control? If this was true then what Cara did to him was in somewhat vain, having no effect on the demon. It might have been just waiting quietly for the right moment to take control, waiting for his body to recuperate from the sedative. Once he was done speaking, it was then that he felt it. It felt as though something was trying to break free, trying to gain control. Though the feeling was weak it still put the larger man on high alert, his body tensing in preparation.
"Well I'm going to ask it anyone. Mark I don't want to lose you. I've already lost one family and I don't want to lose another, the deal that I'm thinking of however... well lets just say I have two, three if I..." She paused for a moment, "There's one that you won't like and will go back on every promise I made you but I can't let this thing kill." she met his gaze as the feeling grew stronger, looking as though she saw something in his eyes, "Is there anything you want me to ask it for you, is there some deal you'd like to offer? I can tell, he's starting to wake up to." she stated in a soft, yet strong voice. He chuckled softly on the inside at how easily she was able to read him. She had spent so long with him that she was able to do what only Easy could do, which was read him. Over the years he had perfected the technique of masking his emotions and his feelings, making sure no one knew how he felt and they only saw either emptiness or coldness. But it seems that they have seen past his mask, seeing what he felt.
“I don’t want to lose you either, Cara, and I’ll do anything to make sure I don’t lose you.” he said in a serious tone, “No, I do not have any deals for it, if I did though, it would probably already have know by now. I feel it trying to take control, but its attempts are weak though they are getting stronger even now as we speak. I still believe I do not have enough to fight him back for long. You won’t have to wait long to speak to it.” he said solemnly. In his mind, the demon gave a sign that it was indeed listening.
‘And I’m eagerly awaiting to meet her again.’ Dementis said demonically from with Mark’s mind. It then let off a evil laugh, showing that it was growing stronger as time past.

Cara Andovea
Her next meeting with Dementis, she somehow didn't think she'd be waiting long and while Mark had been building up his strength Cara had been building up hers. She knew that if the demon attacked her neck again she'd be the one lying on the floor weaker then she had ever felt before and she wasn't about to let that happen, at lest not in the way Dementis wanted.
Though she had been somewhat confused about what Mark had meant about not being able to do something she knew that he now saw how quickly she was started to read him, taking away his mask.
Now if only I can do that with Dementis she thought to herself as Mark's laughter filled up the room. It was only small but it was a wonderful sound she just hoped she'd be able to hear it again after her next visit with his darker side.
“I don’t want to lose you either, Cara, and I’ll do anything to make sure I don’t lose you.”
His voice was so serious, no room for joke or second guessing and it was something that she was planing to use hoping that it wouldn't back fire on her. She only smiled saying nothing not wanting to give herself away only took up his hand again holding it gently as she spoke again.
“No, I do not have any deals for it, if I did though, it would probably already have know by now. I feel it trying to take control, but its attempts are weak though they are getting stronger even now as we speak. I still believe I do not have enough to fight him back for long. You won’t have to wait long to speak to it.”
She saw the glint that came to his eyes, there and gone that if she had blinked she would of missed it. She had no intention of letting him know that she'd seen it but inside she prepared herself for the next battle.
"Well I'm ready, or at lest I think I am. You have to promise me to fight as hard as you can, and Mark try to keep looking me in the eye." She then stopped waiting to see if he could feel it building. "Is he talking to you, has he awoken, or do I still have some time before round two starts?"

"Well I'm ready, or at lest I think I am. You have to promise me to fight as hard as you can, and Mark try to keep looking me in the eye. Is he talking to you, has he awoken, or do I still have some time before round two starts?" she asked, keeping his gaze. When she had placed her hand on his, gently squeezing it within her small grasp, his body inadvertently tensed, still being unused to human contact. He knew she had seen at least a small sign that the demon was growing stronger from within him, there was no hiding that though she tried. He could tell that she was preparing herself for her next meeting with it as the time drew closer. She was extremely brave for staring evil in the face and not back down. He was slightly thankful that Easy did not have a encounter with it, knowing that he wouldn’t have stood a chance against in his weaken state, he was hurt when they had first met in the abandon mansion. Before he was able to answer her, once more his darker side began to speak.
‘What’s wrong little Markus? Didn’t you miss hearing me? I know you don’t want to get rid of me, I can feel it. But your friend seems to be so determined to do so, to get rid of me. What shall you tell her when she ask that question: ‘Do you want to get rid of it Mark?’ It’s a pity you’re going to tell her that you want to keep me, but I shall enjoy the hurt look on her face.’ Dementis said darkly, a dark chuckle escaping it. He wanted to strangle it when it talked about Cara asking that question, it copied her voice exactly, but it sounded more taunting than its usually softness. The demon was certainly getting stronger, he could feel it, and he knew it was trying to fight its way to control. The larger man was having second thoughts of keeping the demon within himself, but knew it was no use in it. He knew that he wasn’t able to live without it, though the young female thought other wise. He stayed silent for a moment, seeing if the demon had anything to say, quietly hoping it didn’t, and was relieved when it didn’t say anything else. He still felt it getting stronger though and knew it wouldn’t be long now.
“I will try my best and fight it, but as I said before, I don’t have the strength to win the fight.” he nodded slightly, “Yes, it was talking to me and it said it was eagerly waiting to meet you once more. I wouldn’t think it would try to take control this quickly after being defeated, but it seems it wants to talk to you just as much as you want to talk to it.” he said quietly. Closing his eyes, his body tensed as he felt Dementis try to gain control once more, but this time it was stronger than ever before and it was unrelenting. He clenched his fists until his knuckles were bone-white under the leather, making his gloves squeak as he fought the demon, just as Cara wanted him to. His hands unclenched themselves and slowly and shakily went to his head, placed on the sides of his head as if he had a headache. The next few moments were filled with a tense silence as he stayed in the same position with his head on his head and his eyes close.
“Go to the other side of the room, Cara. Now.” he said in a dead serious tone, but his voice was quiet as he kept his position.

Cara Andovea
I'm ready even as she had said if she had second guesses she was still having some trouble breathing and her mind was running a mile a minute with so many question, thoughts and unanswered loops. Well there were three things she knew for sure, she had to fight, trust in Mark and if she won again she was going to have no trouble falling asleep.
When she touched Mark's hand for maybe the last time (not that she'd let that come through in her eyes) she felt him once again tense still not used to a gentle touch. She tried to hide the sadness that started to fill her heart as all of a sudden the wash of panic that she should of had from the start started to sink in.
She could see the demon slowly starting to take control knowing that inside Mark's head he could once again hear Dementis's voice and that what ever it was saying was making Mark angry.
“I will try my best and fight it, but as I said before, I don’t have the strength to win the fight.”
I just hope I do Cara thought to herself as Mark nodded before he went on with what he was saying.
“Yes, it was talking to me and it said it was eagerly waiting to meet you once more. I wouldn’t think it would try to take control this quickly after being defeated, but it seems it wants to talk to you just as much as you want to talk to it.”
"How sweet" Cara couldn't help but say not really meaning any of it. Still why was this thing so eager in meeting her again when it knew all to well all she wanted was to cut in down? Once again her hand went to her lips already this being was getting under her skin.
It was only a second after that, that Mark's eyes closed his knuckles turning white all signs that Dementis would soon be in control. She could tell start away that Mark was trying to fight it and knowing that he would never win this only shown by his head dropping into his hands.
“Go to the other side of the room, Cara. Now.”
It sounded like a command and though Cara had never been one to follow them this was one she was wanting to follow.
Quickly she got to her feet and backed away a little but she wasn't going to run. If she started now she feared she just might run out the door.
"I can't do that Mark, just...just let him come. Stop fighting him for now, I'm going to need you to do that later."
And so she now stood her ground waiting for what ever was to come next.

The pain he was feeling in his head right now felt as though someone was trying to rip it in half. The hands that laid on his head tightened their grip as the pain became worse. He was quickly loosing the battle and the demon knew it, using it to its advantage. As he realized this, he commanded his young female companion to go to the other side of the room so she wouldn’t get hurt while it slowly took control. Through the pain-induced haze, he heard her footsteps go in the other direction away from him, relived that she actually listened to him. He noticed though that she didn’t go far, as if she knew that if she went to far that she would just run and leave him. He was about to yell at to do what he said, but she beat him to it.
"I can't do that Mark, just...just let him come. Stop fighting him for now, I'm going to need you to do that later." she stated quietly, a plan already in her head. He looked up at her for a moment, his hands slowly relinquishing their grip, and stared at her as if he was trying to get what she was planning. After a moment, he nodded silently and closed his eyes, giving up the control of his body. It wondered slightly why he did this, but he would never give up the chance for easy control. It quickly took it without a second thought and without thinking of what consequences that might have laid ahead. After a few silent and tense moment, a single, dark chuckle escaped its lips, a evil smirk appearing on its lips as its eyes stayed close. It continued to chuckle, more chuckles coming out of its mouth than before, and it slowly became louder with each sinister chuckle. Suddenly, it threw its head back and its chuckle becoming a loud and maniacal laugh with the motion, its eyes staying close. The insane laughter soon died down and it opened its eyes, which were now grey, signaling that the demon was in full control. Keeping its gaze on the young woman, it slowly, almost majestically, rose to its feet. It tilled its head in a insane manner, a crazed, demonic look its grey orbs as its smirk grew.
“Hello, Cara, my dear.” it purred, keeping its place where it was, even though it wanted to feel her soft skin under its fingers, “I heard you wanted to speak to me, ask me some questions, and make some deal. I‘m charmed, really, but I do wonder, what are you up to? You tell my human half not to fight me and let me take control when I know you want to get rid of me. And this time, my dear, that needle won‘t work on me.” it said, its smirk turning seductive suddenly. It closed its eyes for a moment as it laughed lowly, its shoulder shaking from the laughter, before it opened its eyes once more.

Cara Andovea
Did he think her crazy? For the look that Mark gave her when she told him to give into Dementis certainly seemed to tell her that was just what he thought but that was not something she could linger on or blame him for and so Mark went from commanding to being commanded. The look in Mark's eyes told her he was trying to jump onto her train of thought but that would be impossible her mind ever since Mark had re awoken had been twisting and turning over each and every idea she could possibly think of.
After what seemed like hours Mark finally let go his hands dropping from his head his eyes closing and even though Dementis wasn't in her head she knew it was wondering why, why she had told mark to just let him take over.
As if in a horror movie evil laughter filled the room bouncing off the walls so loudly that until it stopped Cara's hand's covered her ears and even then it only blocked out a tiny whisper.
When Mark's eyes opened next she saw them glued right on her as if Dementis's grey eyes were trying to look right through her.
“Hello, Cara, my dear.”
There was that my dear stuff again and since when did demon's purr? She felt a shiver run up and down her spin.
“I heard you wanted to speak to me, ask me some questions, and make some deal. I‘m charmed, really, but I do wonder, what are you up to? You tell my human half not to fight me and let me take control when I know you want to get rid of me. And this time, my dear, that needle won‘t work on me.”
Cara was about to answer him but stopped when she saw his smile change, she couldn't believe her eyes and had to shack her own head to snap out of the shock.
"You heard right, and therefore I don't think I'll need the needle this time." She stopped there keeping the space between them but pulling out the needle from inside her cape. "And to prove it here the one the doctor gave me while you two were asleep, I knew you'd be to smart to let that little trick work again."
Though she had never been in love before she had seen people flirt she even had to act it out sometimes when she was dancing and since Dementis seemed to be flirting with her just a little she thought she'd play along.
"But before we get to these deals I have in mind there are a few questions the first of which is one I want to know. Why did you kiss me? Mark and I were both taken back by that it seemed to get to him, the other question..."
She took a few steeps closer and while doing so she placed the needle on the table she had been lying on before. She walked right up to him looked him right in the eye and then said.
"And just for the sake of it, was I right, is the only way to truly get rid of you is to make Mark under go another ritual?"

It didn’t know why, but it felt attracted to the young female, in fact, it didn’t even know it was capable of such a emotion. Its other half seem to think the same, but the demon was full of surprises, both good and bad. It knew that the young woman was up to something, but exactly what she was up to was something it was going to have to figure out. Well, it didn’t mind something that would test its skills, it always loved a good challenge. It couldn’t help but ‘flirt’ or at least that’s what it heard humans call such actions. It was something that Mark would never do, the main reason was because he didn’t even know how to do it, but it was something that the demon was most willing to do if it confused the female. It seemed to do the job because she had to take a second look before shaking her head, as if not believing what it was doing. She also seemed a little annoyed or something along those lines when it called her its dear. It mattered little to it because she was its, or at least in the demon’s twisted mind, and it would made that clear to her soon enough. It felt so attracted to her that it even thought to spare her life, but for a price. It focused on her when she started to speak.
"You heard right, and therefore I don't think I'll need the needle this time." she pulled out the syringe that they were talking about and placed it on the table, "And to prove it here the one the doctor gave me while you two were asleep, I knew you'd be too smart to let that little trick work again." she said before began to walk toward it, "But before we get to these deals I have in mind there are a few questions the first of which is one I want to know. Why did you kiss me? Mark and I were both taken back by that it seemed to get to him, the other question... And just for the sake of it, was I right, is the only way to truly get rid of you is to make Mark under go another ritual?" she questioned, getting right in front of it and looking it straight in the eye. It merely cocked a eyebrow, was that supposed to be a compliment or something? If it was, it had heard better ones before. It knew she was smart, able to think quickly on her feet and able to put the most hardest puzzles to together when given the time. Yes, she was slowly beginning to learn about his human half, but she had much, much to go before she truly knew him. Dementis knew all too well that Mark didn’t like it when it kissed her. The demon did not care because it actually felt good, something that if it remembered right, had never felt before. The feeling was intoxicating and it craved more and it was willingly to do almost anything to be able to kiss her again. The demon would strike when she least expected it and right now it would act as if it was just going to just talk to her. It had to admit though, she had beauty and brains and Dementis liked that. It chuckled lowly.
“It seems that I am teaching you something after all. Yes, it is, but there is nothing on this earth that you can do to make Mark do the ritual. He’ already made up his mind about it, trust me I can feel it.” its sly grin grew a little bit, it still a little seductive though, “As for your other question, when I kissed you, I official claimed you as mine, not Mark’s. He only sees you as family, but I see something more in you, I see your potential, something that my human half could never see. You are both beautiful and smart, something I do not see in almost every human female, and for that I seem to be attracted to you. I could spare your life, and even Easy’s, if you only you agree to be mine.” it said in a low, alluring voice. Showing a gentleness that it had never shown before, it grasped her chin softly, using its thumb to lightly brush her cheek, and lifted her head until she met its grey gaze.
