Pale Moon sighed as she reached the edge of town. Her mo'éhno'ha or horse and the 'pale faces' called the beast slowing to a walk. Having ridden from her small Cheyenne tribe and into the town was no doubt going to cause trouble with both nations but the Dog Soldiers had been talking lately with the village elders. WAR!!! the word had been imprinted in her mind ever since. It had been the one word she had come to know well in the ways of the white man and now....now she had to try and stop it... or at least find someone who would listen to her.

Odette Swanson sat in her new room within the house her father had purchased for them back in England, and now she was in a strange new land. America. She sighed heavily, walking down as her fathers staff were moving thing's into their places. Recently her father had put out an ad seeking a new ladies maid for her, supposedly to help and keep her company but she knew it was more to spy on her while he was at work.

"Let's go" Pale Moon voiced to her brother of four legs slowly steeping over the line and feeling eyes upon her.
Even dressed as a brave she stood out being the only half breed it was almost like a sore thumb.
"You'd think they'd be used to us by now" she breathed "Think they'll listen?"
To this her horse shock his head as she jumped down.
"Stay here while I go in the store."

Inwardly she rolled her eyes though knew it was pointless to say or do otherwise. Sometimes it could be fun to play around with them, reaching into her pockets and pulling out something. A knife maybe??? Nah...instead oats was on the menu but as she went to find them something court her eye on the notice board making her stop,

Taking it down she read it carefully. "néá'eše" she breathed forgetting for a moment that she wasn't in her tribe. "Umm thank you. Might you know where I can find this man?"

He gave her the right amount of oats for the money she gave, though just shrugged "I just do business here, don't know anything about Chiefs"

"The...umm what do you call him...." she couldn't think of the word "The person you go to if there's trouble in town." she questioned picking up the bag "I have information for him that needs to be known"

"Don't say I didn't try" she breathed stepping out of the store and called for her horse. "I swear even the elders and my brother and easier to talk to in English then they are in there."

Odette sat downstairs in the study, doing one of the few thing's she was allowed to do, embroidery. That would be one upside to having a maid around her, she'd be allowed to go ouyt

'Well...I did find something, a job maybe so....lets see..." she pulled the card out and looked it over. "I guess it's to late to go back and change into something more....well... not me."
Spying what she thought was the house on the card she walked with her horse following.
"Do I even pass for even half pale face?"
