A two year old Christine sat in the car seat of her mother and fathers car, the happy couple sat in the drivers seat and front passengers seat in front of. Her mother, Marie, turned to her husband who was driving, a small soft smile on her lips as their little girl watched the two in content silence.
"Thank you bringing us all the way here darling, it is such a lovely surprise, I haven't seen dear Grace since she adopted little Elliot... I believe she has adopted another little boy now," she said, her voice as soft as her smile but kind.
Meanwhile in their current manor, Grace Trevelyan Grey stood before the floor length mirror in hers and her husbands room, smoothing out her dress, adding the last touches before her old school friend arrived.

"It's fine dear" Marie's husband replied "I know how much you're looking forward to catching up with your friend and I bet our little Chrissy will love getting to know some new people."
Meanwhile Emma sat within the darkness the rats around her using her body as not only a climbing frame but food as well. It had been like this for awhile now, ever since her father had decided to move her from under the stairs and out of his sight. Ever since her mother had died Emma hadn't known joy, light or a smile only pain, anger and darkness. Her father had changed from the one she remembered.

"You never know, she may meet a future husband in either of the boys," she giggled, teasing her husband as she looked back to see Christine was playing with her dolly, bouncing it down her legs in walking. "She'll surely charm them to Heaven and back,"

"I think it's a little soon to be thinking of giving our daughter away. I am the only man in her life right now and I hope to keep it that way... at least til she's eighteen. Besides, friendship is the founder to all."
Emma wouldn't know about that for she had no friends, not even when she closed her eyes and tried to dream. There wasn't any sunlight to play with or shadows for her world was just one BIG shadow and...a monster that lived in nither closest or bed.

"I know, I just love seeing you get all huffy puffy over keeping our little lady... Oh there it is Charles, just there... My she has done well for herself, hasn't she..." She said, beaming as they drove up towards her friends home.
"Christian, Elliot, are you boys ready, mummy's friends are here and I want them to meet my two special boys," Grace called as she made her way down the stairs.

"Well, seems that apples may keep the doctor away but not the money" Charles joked as he pulled up within the drive way "What did you say her husband did again? I have a feeling the only way either of us will get a word in is if we talk to eachother."
"COMING" Elliot yelled back, sighing to himself as he pulled his 'brother' along. "Just what I need, another person to baby sit"
For a grown up one might question why Emma's father kept her if he hated his child so much and that was a question that was being answered upstairs by three men... well two and a child.

"Her husband is a... Lawyer, yes, a lawyer, and hush you..." She said, kissing his cheek, "you do just as well as he does, no one is outdoing my big hubby," she said, nuzzling him.
"Now Elliot, be nice to your brother, and I want you both to be on your best behaviour, mummy hasn't seen her friend since we first got you Elliot, and I am sure her little... One, will wish to stay with her mother and father,"

"Yea right" Elliot muttered under his breath, still when it came to girls Elliot did feel a certain pull. It was just to bad that this girl was to young.
"And don't you forget it" Charles smiled. "Alright, everybody out"
"So...you came here for a reason, friend, why not just get down to the chase. Ya know my wife is gone and therefore you ant getting none here."

"I heard that," Grace said, giving him a look though was still smiling as there was a knock at the door
She kissed his cheek again before sliding out, going round she unbuckled and picked up Christine, "We're here little one," she said, snuffling her, making her squeal with laughter
"You got the girl still though, don't you?"

Elliot rolled his eyes. "Great, two kids, one that doesn't speak and one that can't, fun."
"Why don't we let our little girl lead the way?" Charles questioned as he got her backpack from the boot.
"So what if I do? Can't screw er... well not like that....least not til she's older."

She walked in, Charles behind her with Christine's things, she knelt down to the boys level, "Hello there... No, this cannot be Elliot, he's too big and strong to be the same little Elly I saw..." She looked to the other boy, "and you are just the cutest little one I have ever seen Christian,"
"Then get one,"
